about

A near praise and worship worthy song, with its nod to the universe and casual wink toward a Colossians verse about being foolish for Christ. It wound up being pretty secular, though. In order to keep it from sounding too much like several of the other Am tunes, I put the Garageband Arp pad and layers in it to jar the beginning out of complacency and to match up with the Backwards Melody loop break. Maybe it's a cheap thrill. Time will tell.

lyrics

PROLOGUE/EPILOGUE
The universe is many little cages
Full of dreams that seem so outrageous
Till we make them true
With silly things we do
With silly things we do

CHORUS
Just grab hold of what is real
Don’t let go see how it feels
Hold on tight, make it last
Dream the future and save the past

CHORUS

The universe is many little cages
Full of dreams that seem so outrageous
Till we do the work to make them true
With all the little silly things we do

CHORUS
CHORUS

Economy of motion is the dance of life
Victory is the potion that'll make it right
Everybody's crazy, everybody's lean
Living on the edges of a dream

CHORUS 2
Just grab hold of what is real
Don’t let go see how it feels
Hold on tight, make it last
Dream the future and save the past
